Foster Care & Adoption Guidance for Muslim Families
Our mission is to educate Muslim families in understanding foster care and adoption within the U.S. child-welfare system, grounded in Islamic values and guided by real-world experience.
There are over 320,000 children in foster care in the United States, as of December 2024 (AFCARS), and at least 4-6 million Muslims living in the USA (Pew Research). It is concerning how few Muslim Americans seem to be aware of the importance of foster care and adoption, regardless of a child's ethnicity, religious background, or other factors. There is a crucial need for more Muslims to be educated about this topic, as well as to strongly consider being part of the solution.
